If only there were some way you could beat the devaluation of government issued paper

Like, by converting worthless paper into valuable things that hold real value

Oh well

Doesn’t seem to be reflected in a lot of metrics, companies are earning absolutely insane amounts of money and the stock market is at all time highs

A simple solution would be to stop voting in democrats. Liberalism is very expensive.

Well, to be fair, if people in 3rd world can survive then I’m sure so can you.

But people are getting poorer, the rich are getting richer but everyone else’s purchasing power is getting eaten up. It’s not an overnight event, you’ll wake up in 5 years and realise you are living in a 2nd world.

Think it’s really the end. Hell the millitary is getting drone bombed daily as millions cross the border. They finally killed 3 the other day and the usa has no answer. I think anerica has become an inferior country but it’s hard for people to believe. Went too liberal with the blm and trans gender and feminist crap and now there’s no one worth a damn or who even cares anymore

It used to be that a man could have a typical officecel job around median wage and then act as the sole provider for their family, 5 bedrooms mortgage, vacations, and retirement.

Now a single incel at around median wage can't even get a sufficient down payment for a 3/2 house in under 10 years. Let alone address their debts, or have a retirement.

I think some of this is controllable though. Everyone sucks with their money. Daily restaurants, uber eats, going into debt for everything, $100/mo on subscriptions, buys the latest cell phone or other technologies. Everyone has credit cards now, everyone consumemaxes without actually calculating costs and feeling the payment.

But I think unlike older times, there's still a way to assuredly stay ahead, and that's to actually have money. Put your excess savings into tech stocks - people should've seen anywhere from 300%-1500% return in the last 5 years if they held many different shares. Also, own a house, pay it off to avoid having any mortgage/rent, sell it years later for 50% more.

I'm glad that inflation hasn't been rising as quickly as it was a year or two ago. Inflation is still rising higher than wanted though. Cheaper prices are not returning any time soon it looks like with current government policies in place. The Biden administration spent and printed 10 years worth of money in 2 years. All that money printing causes high inflation.

During the great depression, everyone basically was suffering.

That meant that if they were used to eating steak, they didnt but it anymore because it was expensive and money was tight, Its a pretty simple strategy to figure out.

For some reason now, people think they have a right to drink $7 starbucks multiple times a day and order fast food delivered and of course still eat steak. Then they whine it so expensive and wonder how they will survive.

Shopping smarter or cutting out stupid wastes of money rarely cross their mind.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

Like others have said, we should be fine if you're not a giant consumer and just scale back on unneeded purchases and subscriptions. Even with everything rising in price, I'm still able to save some money, always have. Unless we have hyper inflation everything is going to be fine.

It's pretty disgusting how well corporations are doing through all of this and raising prices more than they should. Which is certainly part of the problem. But I hedged my bets. I invested in the corporations, so while they make money I'm better set for retirement because of it.

Whether we're fuked or not from all the debt we're taking on as a country is another conversation.
