I never talked about it being effective or not. It is. Your stomach it turned into a brick, so yeah - it works. My point, one you miss - is the cost. A cost in things we see now with our own eyes, things this study you cite simply failed to correctly identify. Wonder why.

30% of people stop using w/in the first month due to side effects.
Those fat kids who lose weight, all 50% of them, you gain it all back when you get off the drug. 0% of people who quit the drug lose weight in the long run.
Researchers are now linking this drug to serious side effects, more than the study showed, I guess we don't care about that date.

And, at the end of the day -- If you have an obese kid and your doctor prescribes Ozempic, guess what: We know 100% you are in America, because that is the only nation on Earth where any doctor would be authorized to do that. Wonder why?

And, to me the OP saying the trials were banned in Europe. No, the drug is though. I may have to go back and see if I made a typo, worded it poorly or if you're just making **** up.

I suppose now you'll try to turn this discussion towards discussants?

But not those that incorrectly state these trials are banned in Europe?

We will attribute this that I just worded it too ambiguously. When I say the studies got the green light in America, I (kind of clearly) was not saying only in America were the studies green lit, no - the studies when concluded only got the FDA to approve it, everyone else said No. (edit: actually re-reading it, I really did word it poorly)

They did studies in many countries.

Only the USA approved it for weight loss. No other country has, not their own country, not any country they tested it in, either. It is only approved for type2 diabetes.

So you can stop with the I'm being a liar and dishonest routine. You just read it wrong, pal.

30% of the experimental group withdrew in the first month?

In both the adult and adolescent trials?

I believe in the study, if it's the right one, only 4.5%.

Yet in the real world...

Most People Stop Using Ozempic and Wegovy After a Year, What Experts Think
https://www.healthline.com/health-ne...ts-explain-why
A new report finds 2 out of 3 people on GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic stop within a year.
People may experience side effects or switch medication
Another reason could be that patients didn’t fully stop treatment but switched to a different medication for weight loss.

Another potential reason for people stopping medication is side effects. These drugs can lead people to have a variety of side effects including:

nausea
vomiting
constipation
diarrhea
Severe symptoms can include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and kidney issues.
Other factors, such as cost, were included. Little more than 4.5% though, amirite?? Whoops!

Hey, let's be the only country on the planet that allows anyone, much less children, to take a drug that most quit before the end of a year and that once they quit they revert back and regain the weight. The study showed it was SAFE!

btw, for ****'s sake: The studies. (When concluded) They got the green light in America. They did not get authorization anywhere else. You can stop calling me a liar already, if it was worded poorly - it's been explained in detail now many times since.

I see.

The studies were very clearly green lit in many countries, including some in Europe. The registered trials were not being run illegally.

Thanks, you concede all points and admit you are a shill. Well, most of us suspected it, glad to see you just come out and say it.

No. But you're doing the Kreulian style mix and match.

You started a thread about the FDA approving a drug based on a 17-month clinical trial that was run at multiple sites around the world.

I shared the trial, the protocol, and resulting publications.

You stated an (unreferenced) "real world" percentage of 30% d/c within a month in opposition of the FDA's decision. Except, your follow up is for a year.

I just think it interesting how so many new researchers are uninterested in source material

I'm not convinced that the FDA approving before other countries means it's an incorrect decision.

Teenagers going through puberty should be given something that reduces muscle mass and bone density??? Yes or no, real simple question.

****s sake, I'd say the majority of people shouldn't be taking Ozempic.

A thrid of the weight lost is muscle and bone density. Then when you stop taking it, you regain the fat, but not the muscle or bone density.

I just think it's curious to disregard data. Your previous posts in this thread suggest you may be operating with a non-standard definition of the term "studies".

Data, registered protocols, and analysis plans are right there.

Nobody wants to discuss those

Why?

You think kids should take Ozempic instead of being taught self control and to be active?

Rapid weight loss from taking GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy can cause a decrease in muscle mass, lessen bone density, and lower your resting metabolic rate, leading to sarcopenia.

Except they won't have the energy to workout, since they're taking something that kills their appetite.

Do you even know what Ozempic is???
