It's begun. This is like releasing the first iPhone back in 2007. Look where we are now because of it.
This release is like that iPhone in 2007.

We will live to see the day a device like this works directly with brain sensory. Not sure where else we go from here. The CS nerds will figure it out. Shortly after that we will f*ck around with AI and find out and it'll be Terminator, real life edition.

These things are yet another example of companies inventing stuff no one wanted and them hyping it up like they finally did it and we should all drop to our knees and thank them.
Think about it. Have you ever thought that you wished someone would invent snowboard goggles you could wear around so you could look at screens while walking? KNowing you would look like an complete imbecile doing it?
No, no one wanted these. They might be a fun toy but thats about it.
Saw a commercial for a refrigerator that has internet. Has anyone ever in the history of electricity sat there and wished that they wanted a fridge to connect to the internet? again, no one wanted this miracle invention.
Self driving cars- the only person who ever wanted this was the druk at the bar after last call so he could get his car home. No one else wants it.
Car without a speedomenter but instead a big ass touch screen. Its sort of neat but did anyone ever want this? What about the se through tv set? again, no one wants it.
The list goes on and on yet they dont invent stuff we actually want. They seem to want to sort of invent around the stuff people actually want.

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I mean, most what you can do can already be done for a fraction of the price with an Oculus, but it would be fun to try for a couple of hours then i'd get bored, lol.
Its basically like you're playing a real life video game of yourself. You can walk around with it and you have control panels in your peripherals to select what you want to do.

The technology itself is what has me interested- but the usecase for me isnt enough to justify $3500. I bought a pair of $350 AR glasses (Xreal Air) that stream my phone perfectly without anything other than a USB-C cable. Perfect for long rides (bus, plane, car, etc.) and they arent nearly as bulky as VR headsets.
