Got my bloodwork done

Somehow I am 99% healthy despite being a brutal alchy for almost a decade. I must have crazy genetics or something, prob the best on this entire site (not srs lol)

Only 1 thing, looks like my liver might be a bit busted:

ALT (SGPT)
52
High

Acceptable range for this is at max 44. Anyone familiar with this?

Also lol: Creatinine 1.00. Max level can be 1.32

If you're not drinking as much now, NAC and Tudca helped get my ALT and AST levels from around that high back down to normal.

should probably check it again in a couple of months or so. if it remains high, along with ast and alk phos, then consider getting your liver checked through ct scan, mri, or endoscopy.

Thanks for the reply, are these over the counter supps? Trying to get Naltrexone, but need a doc to prescribe it.

Yea they're over the counter. Can get them on Amazon. For Naltrexone, check out Monument. It's $10 a month, you meet virtually with a doc, then they send the prescription to your pharmacy. I did it for a bit and outside the $10 a month the med itself didn't cost a penny.

All I remember is there are two main ones, ALT and AGT or AST, i'm no med nerd so I forget.

I remember my numbers were out of range for a little bit.

Cut all alcohol and eat clean, and both went right back to dead center of healthy range (so like mid 20s) within a month.

Liver is an amazing thing, and can recover IF you give it time to heal. Just don't keep punishing it over and over, as I've seen some people ruin it forever.

Cool, thanks for sharing man. Yeah the goal is to stop drinking 100%. One month is insanely fast, damn. Have heard the liver can regenerate, so it's looking bright.

ALT 52 is nothing

Mine was 78 and all others fine.

Docs will start to worry if it is x4 the upper limit AND if other 2 enzymes are elevated as well

If you train seriously, it is to be expected

Yeah the docs say that about 3 months is what it takes for your liver to heal.

Just go much easier on it from now on. there are so many horror stories out there of people who didn't and died an agonizing death from drinking and ignoring their liver.

Well that's good to hear, thanks for the reply. Reading that medical stuff is like reading a foreign language though lol.

Yeah I'm on the right path, I think I will manage. That happened to my uncle, died of liver failure. Drank like 2-3 handles a day of vodka. Seen what it can do to people... It isn't good
