Countries like Poland are a thousand times nicer than Russia, Russians themselves say it, there are videos about it on YouTube. I think eventually they will catch up to countries like Poland or Denmark (yes I'm intentionally using Denmark as an example to compare to Poland as infrastructure is similarly developed in both countries, I've been to both).

Communism royally phucked that part of the world, but it's catching up, barring another big war. Putin is certainly not standing in the way of this progress, but those of whom we cannot speak starting proxy wars are. Hopefully more countries don't get drawn into them.

What a lot of countries do is they don't really have to build a wall or take much action. If you come to Russia or many other places, not only will you get no social benefits but because you are not a citizen you have almost no rights or protections under their legal system. Ask Brittney Grainger what happens when you break the law over there. They aren't going to kick their citizens out of shelters so you can stay there nor will they put you in a hotel. You won't go to Russia and beat up police officers and then be released with no bail I can assure you that.

What millions of Russians are killing for a green card? This was probably true at the fall of the Soviet Union when life was terrible for all Russians. Now it's not that much different than the rest of the western world. They have poor places and nice places. They have many cities that are perfectly modern and the people are all living nice middle and upper class lives. Many Russians have no desire to leave Russia and are living comfortable lives there and you couldn't pay them to move to the USA.

I actually talk to a Russian in Russia, many Russians now think USA is a sh*thole. The desire to move here that existed in the 90s and early 2000's is gone.

Has anyone here actually been to Russia besides me? Or are you just talking out of yer bungholes?

- There are a lot of cool cities in Russia besides Moscow and St. Petersburg

- Everyone has indoor plumbing except for people who live in the village (countryside, like where many Russians have a summer cottage)

- Most Russians live in big apartment buildings, and all apartments have toilets

- Other nice places in Russia:
Vladivostok, Kazan, Vologda, Ekaterinburg
Nizhny Novgorod
Sochi (the Florida of Russia)
