Going out tomorrow morning fishing

Gonna see what them reds and specs are doing. Live shrimp and artificial bait are the top two. Hitting Elmer island first and then grand isle. Also got the cast net for some crab I’d they not hitting the shrimp and rubber.

I went out last week and banged quite a few rat reds and a couple worth keeping, I feel that I’m gonna hit my limit within 2 hrs.

I love fishing.

Is this in shore? Will you have favorable moving tide when you head out? Nothing chits on fishing momentum like slack tide

Favorite lure? Gold Johnson's Sprite is my go-to.

I do what I call a "cats and rats" trip in the North end of Lake Conroe in the fall. Set out limb lines as I paddle up the river to hunt squirrels "tree rats" in the National Forest, and pick up the lines, usually with a couple of catfish, on the way back.

Inshore, reds and specs can’t resist live shrimp.

Nope.
Redfish = Red Drum / Channel Bass (for the Yankees)
Sheepshead = Sheepshead / Convict fish
Black Drum = Black Drum The juveniles do have stripes that make them look sort of like sheepshead, but different fish. Compare the teeth.

Ouch. Tide all the way out? That's not going to help. Hopefully it's moving again before the sun gets too high.

Is it fun? Do you need a licence or permit in your jurisdiction?
