Do you support Republicans killing the immigration bill?
Everyone sees what's going on at the border. Everyone complains about it. A bipartisan solution is offered, and then killed cause trump wants unchecked immigration as an issue to run on.
How do you guys feel about that? Having your misery and livelihoods used for political gain?
Doesn't this kill the "illegal no ID voter" complaint as well.
Don't give me any whataboutism, answer the OP. Thanks.

I don't think a solution is 1.5 illegal aliens per year, along with 80 billion going to two shythole countries.
It was a foreign policy bill, not a border bill.
That is just me.
Both parties really want the border open. Drumpf wants the border open.
It is federal policy to have the border open.

20% of the money in that bill actually dealt with immigration and the border.
why don't they put up a bill that actually does what they claim it does?
why do they call it one thing when most of what it does is something completely different?
so yes. i approve of it being shut down.
put up an immigration bill that only has immigration stuff in it then ask this question again if it's shut down.
did op even read the bill?
doesn't sound like it if he is asking this question.

It's a Ukraine and Israel funding bill. Can't separate that from funding our border then you're a deceptive kunt who doesn't represent the people of the USA. That includes turtle McConnell.
5000 illegals per day let in is still an invasion. And more will simply sneak in undetected. Still an open border.

I don’t care but it’s hysterical watching the dems on social media cry about republicans being at fault when their party has advocated for basically open borders forever. Funny how they now care because immigrants are being bussed to their precious sanctuary cities.

It keeps getting rejected because of so much pork spending in it

Biden could secure the border if he wanted to. He didn't need this bill to do that. Repeatedly Biden has sued and worked to stop border states from securing the border.
the purpose of that bill was to try and blame the GOP for Biden's unpopular open border policies.
Dems Didn’t Want a Border Deal: They Wanted ‘Border Blame’
Biden can shift the blame for the border crisis now.
https://www.frontpagemag.com/dems-di...-border-blame/
The Border Deal was, like most bipartisan enterprises, a Catch 22.
A. Either Democrats would get a border deal that would let them keep the border open while also getting credit for a legislative solution.
B. Or they would get to blame Republicans for the border crisis.
Table A would have been nice, but they’ll happily take Table B. Much like ‘War Games’, the only way to win this one would have been not to play, but a few Senate Republicans insisted on letting the Gang 3 set them up to lose.
And Dems, from Biden on down, and their media are in full swing claiming that Trump made Republicans tank the border deal in order to sabotage Biden.
Like most forms of projection, the truth is backward.
Biden and the Dems were not really expecting a border deal. By the time they unveiled their proposal, Speaker Mike Johnson had already warned them that it would be dead in the House. They went ahead and carried on, for the same reason that the House voted on an Israel bill, and for the same reason that both houses repeatedly vote on things they know will not pass in the other.
How much of the public can be convinced now that the border crisis is the fault of Republicans? Probably not that many Republicans or even Independents, but it’s a message that Democrats will feel comfortable with and you can expect the media to bring it up every time Republicans refer to the border crisis.
That’s what this was really about.
Had Biden and the Democrats seriously wanted to secure the border, the bill would have done that, instead of providing discretionary opportunities to possibly secure the border, if Biden chooses to use them, while still bringing millions of illegal invaders into America and adding less than a week’s worth of detention capacity.
Whether Republicans will effectively be able to make those arguments is another question.

This isn't the gotcha you think it is. They're all trash. And this bill has fuk all to do with securing the border. It gives more money for processing illegals into the country, and establishes meaningless quotas for illegals to be allowed in. Oh, and best of all, it cements those numbers for the next 5 years.

A bill where Ukraine gets 60 billion dollars, and where 5,000 illegals get to cross the border every day?

I saw a bill sending taxpayers moneys to scumbag foreign nations including the Nazis in Ukraine and a small amount of money enabling as many filthy pond scum criminals to cross the border as before
What was the question again?

OP's disappointment was immeasurable when he discovered that Free Willy was a movie about a boy and an orca.
You can read the cliff notes to see that the contents of the bill don't live up to the title.
US politicians are so invested in sending billions to Israel (and Ukraine) but they're incapable of making a bill that's kosher, i.e. pork free? Piss off and make a bill that explicitly shuts off the border and denies all asylum claims with no more billion dollar handouts to foreign nations or other unrelated attachments.
Maybe against all odds if people understood that, they might reconsider who they support and vote in.
It's crazy how there are legal protections against misleading advertising with repercussions, but nothing against politicians effectively doing the same thing with manipulative bills meant to sway public perception.

There was no "solution". The bill is a total farce. The GOP cuck who negotiated it needs to switch parties and get voted out.
House Republicans already passed the immigration bill called HR2. It's been sitting in queue for 9 months, waiting for Senate and President to approve it. They won't because that one actually works and Democrats don't want to secure the border.
If Democrats don't want to pass HR2 then fuk them, plain and simple. Has nothing to do with Trump.
