She doesn’t like the dealership she’s working at anymore and she sent me another dealer by our house she’d like to go to. She told me she put in an application.. I told her she didn’t need an application. She told me she wanted to get the job without my help.

About a half hour later I drove over to the dealership and talked to the General Manager on her behalf. He called her and set up an interview for Monday. She asked if she needed to bring her resume and he told her no. He basically told her over the phone he was gonna hire her because she’s my wife.

So she’s gonna go in Monday to meet with him and go over things. She’s a finance manager ( the person who gets your loan approved and signs your paperwork). His store pays more so she’ll be going from about 100k a year to 130-150k.

Moral of the story is knowing somebody is always more valuable than a good resume.
