Zero phukcs given what the media people have/had to say about them.
I'm talking about from personal experience.
For me, first that comes to mind is:
With Teeth - NIN

Mostly any album that gets blown out of proportion is over-rated. It's excessively rare to hear a piece of art that is simultaneously stunning and has mass appeal. Most popular music albums are simply a product carefully tailored and curated to sell to a specific target market by rich record executives where the primary goal is sales. These albums are not art, they're simply products.
"Dark Side of the Moon" might be overblown, but it's a good example of a piece of art that had mass appeal in a time where people seemed actually interested in quality music and music in an LP format and overarching journey, without a throw-away 'single' mentality.

Even the ones I personally can’t stand from genres I dislike, I recognize they’re great works within their bubble

As for me, St Anger by Metallica is a piece of chit. I think I actually, physically, smashed that album into pieces with one of my mum's walking dumbbells.
Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
