That show was over-rated from the start

season 1 was the only good one. even then it was carried by McConaughey, Harrlson and big teddy Alexandra Daddario

Thing was, Season 2, they tried to turn every character into McConaughey, spouting off random, weird philosophy.

Also, we watch the show, and we like the character, but let me tell you, as a cop, if you had to work with a guy like that, you'd go nuts.

Made it through 3 episodes. Even my lib leaning girl couldn't take it anymore and we abandoned ship.

Bad story, hilariously obvious agenda, and trying way too hard on multiple fronts. It got too cringe to take.

But I love how every media source praised it before the release... especially liberal rags. Was suspicious based on that. Should have known better.

As soon as I saw the first trailer I noped out of that one. S1 was solid, 2 was eh and couldn’t make it more than an episode or 2 into 3.

Been rewatching it since your thread. Up to Season 4. What a masterpiece.

season 4 is the weakest, but quickly picks up at the end of ep 5. overall, so far it's my least favorite season of the series. they could have made it 3 episodes instead of 6, and i'd be fine with it.

This season is actually turing out to be ok

Somehow slooting and LGBT is only for TV, Television production has become very cheap relatively so this is why everyone is making degenerate content.

It's... ehhhh. It's just barely good enough to keep going, I guess, because there's not much else on. The story line just isn't intelligent and the actors not interesting enough to draw you in.



You also can tell it's a liberal writing the show. A few points:

1. Basically every woman in the show is stronger, they all act like they want to be men. They fight well, they're morally superior to the men, they sleep around a ton, and are smarter.

2. Pretty much every single white man in the show is evil, corrupt, and weird looking (typical leftist casting and writing). There's one exception, a younger white male, but he's also mostly incompetent and weak, looks up to the women for guidance. Boyish looking and confused/needs the woman's help.

3. The morally superior native Americans are pushing back against evil corporation ran by morally corrupt white men and the occasional corrupt white woman

4. The minorities in the show (natives) are wholesome, support each other, all around better people, while every white family portrayed in the show is dysfunctional and broken/bad.





It's just so blatantly obvious. Liberals think that others don't know this and that their agenda is subtle enough to trick people's thinking but it's so hard to miss. They brainwash each other and then convince each other that the above 4 points reflect reality (when they don't).


It's so old. I think in 10/15 years people will look back at this era like wtf, how did society become so anti-white and anti-male in that time period, how weird it was just accepted.

Truth be told the propaganda can be worse on other shows so I'm still watching it a bit. I saw a statement from the Season 1 writer basically saying they screwed up this show with a liberal writer.

the best way to watch true detective is to stop watching after season 1, cause nothing will be as good as that

This. Im a huge true detective fan. S1 was goat, S2 grew on me after watching it 2-3 times, S3 was extremely bad, this season is a mixture but it has kept my interest. Last episode was good.

We loved season 1 so much, we immediately started season 2 with high hopes, made it maybe 3 episodes and stopped. There was a scene where the strong independent girl cop was alone in her room knife training to show what a badass she was

i only ever watched the first season. that was some actual good chit

I got 4 or 5 episodes in and haven't finished it yet. People complained about Fargo Season 4, for some reason, but man it looks like a masterpiece compared to Season 5. They may as well screech "MEN ARE BAD! MASCULINITY IS TOXIC!" while staring into the camera for 45 minutes. So hamfisted it hurts.

Outside of the actors the directing of Fukunaga was awe inspiring. Most also realized that if Nic Pizzaface wasn't stealing Ligotti quotes he wasn't much of a writer.
