Romaleos are only good for squatting. Squatting is gay anyway. Hack squat is better. The rest of the lifts it doesn't matter what the fuk shoes you're wearing.

Great value version of chucks. Cost about $18 or something like that and work great. Not so great for snatches as they arent olympic lifting shoes but I dont use them for that.

I really like Reebok Nano 9s

Recently got around to trying a pair of minimalist NoBulls and just didn't like the way they looked and my heel kept slipping out of them. Despite seemingly being the right size.

Honorable mention:

TYR CXT-1

great shoe . Though a little bit on the bulkier side

For everything except squatting, I wear Vibram Five Finger. Used to lift barefoot until I broke my toe. Home gym crew. Squatting I wear Nordic Lifting and I like them fine but I haven't tried enough others to give a sold rec.

Yeah, I'd agree with this sentiment. Found them pretty bad if you're going to be doing a lot of cardio on a treadmill for example or running on a footpath. People say the low/zero drop aspect is something you get used to, but it really is just brutal. Wasn't like DOMS, I was sore in the wrong places. You probably do need that extra support. Anything high intensity on hard surfaces is bad in the long run tbh

DO NOT wear shoes that compress your foot, I have wide feet and most shoes compress my foot to the point my arch will collapse.

Your feet are supposed to be spread out on the floor grabbing it like a hand would for maximum support/leverage/safety

Anyone who says chucks is either unaware of the above or has some skinny ass feet

This is THE MOST important thing for your feet as an athlete

Smart man, vibrams are perfect for what's been said above

Running and hill climbs in them are my chit

Not sheriff trolling but Ryderwear shoes are probably the ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life. I can't for the life of me wrap my head around someone paying money for them. In fact, I searched for D-Mak 3 on google and couldn't look at the images for more than 3 seconds before closing. I felt my morning protein shake slowly creep up my esoph4gus, ready to unleash a fountain of technicolor yawn. No self-respecting man, woman or kid should ever utter the words Ryderwear or accept these even as a gift.

I had a friend tell me romaleos over adipowers since they have wider toe boxes (and we both have wide feet) and the romaleos are heavier, so you really feel glued to the floor. I took the advice, bought romaleos that I used for 4 years (I now reside in snap city), and have no complaints.

A long time ago there was a powerlifter who had some pretty big lifts and was known for competing in bright white nike monarchs (the "dad shoes")

I've squatted in olympic lifting shoes, barefoot, chucks, running shoes. I don't think it makes one damn bit of a difference. srs
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)
