No and keeping that much cash on hand is pointless.....I do think it's always good to have some cash, maybe a few thousand on hand at the house buuuuuttt......

If the situation gets bad enough that the banking systems go down, your cash is worthles....it becomes literal meaningless paper. So having that much cash on hand (assuming you're holding for this type of scenario) is pointless.
