Low income earners are so ungrateful (srs)(rant)(no pics)

In a semi-socialist country they receive tons of free stuff

World class universal medical care
Subsidised child care
High quality public schools
Free national disability support scheme for their FAS crotchdemons
The list goes on

The amount of tax they pay does not come close to paying for this stuff

Who funds it? Yeah you know who

But do you think they’re grateful?

No.

Anytime they want to “cut taxes” (read: give back a small part of the tax increase from bracket creep) for the “wealthy” (lmao) it’s reeeeEEEEEEEE

And always some kind of underlying suspicion that wealthy people didn’t really work for it; somehow don’t “deserve” to have an income that is multiples of theirs (and, as a result, pay more in taxes than said cretins earn in a year)

/rant

I don't think anyone has a problem with the doctors, lawyers, and airline pilots who earn $1M/year after decades of specialized competitive training with skills no one else can match.

Most people, however, have a problem with people who got extremely lucky, hit the jackpot with their business/birth and devote the rest of their life to extracting as much as possible from society despite already having amassed more wealth than most Egyptian pharaohs. And who have manipulated the political process so they pay under 15% tax while the middle class gets milked.

It looks like the 37% marginal tax rate applies to $120K-$180K kangaroo dollars for aussies versus 37% for earners of $578K or more actual dollars in the US, and Trump wants to cut that tax rate even further. lol
Your schtick sucks and it screams insecurity.

It’s the sense of entitlement that gets me

Why are you so obsessed with getting your hands on money that someone else earned?

You’re probably basing that comment on my views on the labour market dynamics (ie profit share, the roles of collective actions through boards of directors vs labour unions etc)

I believe people who survive by selling their labour deserve (must demand) a fair return on that labour

Part of that must mean, that you have the right to retain some fair portion of the wage you earn (ie there should be limits on the wealth redistribution through the tax system)

That’s not the point of this thread though

It’s the audacity of the beneficiaries of the system to constantly demand more

Well, I am all for reaping what you sow

That means
a) getting a fair return on your labour in the form of a wage
b) keeping a fair return on your labour through the tax/transfer system

You've literally posted the same screen at least 5 times of your bank acct like anyone cares about anything going on in Australia. You're not exactly multifaceted.

Straya here.
Im on a pension after the army till I die. I also got a job where I work for 15 mins - 4 hours for $112 after tax. Im on over 100k a year. I get some extra free medical care through DVA.

Dole payments for people not working is around $21 000 a year. Disability slightly more.

Straya is the best country in the world. Just FUKED up with our laws.
Alan Aragon, Brad Schoenfeld, Stu Phillips, Lyle McDonald. FTW.

Not a physique competitor but hope to compete in powerlifting next year. Max bench 1RM with pause 160kg. 352lbs.

You can make $200k a year pretty easily if you’re a tradie working under your own ABN

And will pay way less tax than wagies

Yes I should have been a tradie

People (as seen in quite a few Miscers' posting profiles) are far less grateful for their lot in life these days, because:

1) They "see" the "better life" on social media, and internalize it as #goals; and
2) They are incapable of accepting any personal responsibility. "muh society".

It's a brutal black pill reality check that even LARPing on this forum cannot provide an escape from.
