I would if it didn't cause and exacerbate sleep apnea.
I only do traps now - no direct neck training.

The back i can load up with the harness though. Front would require some dicking around

I was the only guy training neck in our gym. And the funny thing is, someone said I have the biggest neck and train it, while 99.9% of others have thin necks and never train it.
Another funny thing is - neck is never a part of ANY lifting program. Not one. You will never find personal trainer who teach it to his "students". Even if you ask, you will get strange but very safe answers.

Direct neck work is not necessary. When you train other muscles (eg traps, back, shoulders) the cross activation exposes your neck to enough growth stimuli. So it's pretty much impossible to be jacked everywhere else but have a pencil neck. And if you're not jacked but just want a thick neck, don't, that looks stupid.

I think direct neck training is very beneficial. Just don't do too much weight or go bananas with neck training. A safer alternative would be to strengthen your neck through isometric exercises.

Isn't it a sign when they have a small neck and big muscles that they juice?
If yes, then workout and lift without the shortcuts and the neck comes with the gains right?

Don't.
I trained my neck, and basically gave myself, or exacerbated sleep apnea.
