Before I started drinking kombucha, I used to get sick every couple months. After I discovered it, my colds/flus dropped to once or twice a year. It’s purely anecdotal and I have zero evidence that the kombucha improved my immune system, but I can’t overlook it. They’re also super helpful for digestive health.

Also, to Condo’s point, there are certain brands being sold as kombucha that are just bullchit sparkling teas marketed as kombucha. If your bottle doesn’t label the microbial profile of the drink in its ingredients (usually under “probiotics”) then it’s not going to be beneficial. GT’s Synergy is a good brand I usually stick with. Each bottle comes with over 9 billion probiotics packed and they tell you exactly what they are.

I drink both. bucha is good to grab on the way out the door, nice drink in the world.


Kefir is great for breakfast, or a chug when you're hungry at night.


But both are really good for your gut. Better to have both, than either/or...
