Both seem to be similar strength wise

Capt. America is the obvious athelete though

How is this even a question? Cap went toe to toe with Thanos (although Thanos did end up kicking his ass) and was able to wield Mjölnir.

Cap curbstomps the Master Chief.

I'd say that was a neutered Hulk. Full on rage/no fear Hulk handles Thanos.

But still, if Cap is tier 4 what tier is Master Chief? Like 8? Daredevil level maybe?

My assumption is it is a similar tier. They appear to have the same strength and durability. Just sightly different skillsets
