Two exceptions IMO. Exception #1 is you are a TRUE caretaker. As in you pay all the bills, everything, and your parents require you to support them. That is fine and noble. Exception #2 is you get ONE get out of jail safetynet card as an adult. Maybe you start a business and it fails. Maybe your wife divorces you and takes the kids. Maybe you lose your job and everything in a bad market. Then yea you can stay with your parents BRIEFLY to get yourself back on your feet.

But if you are 30 and live with mommy and daddy and always have. Well, simply put, you are a giant loser.

I'm 36 and still living at home and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I get all meals cooked every day. Room and bathroom tidied/cleaned weekly. I never have to do my laundry or change bedsheet etc. My mom charges me a token amount of "rent" which is miniscule compared to what I'd have to pay if I wanted my own apartment plus cleaning and cooking services.
