I see a potential problem here. People who are living with their parents through their 20s and even early 30s are limiting themselves as far as finding someone they could settle down with. When someone lives with their parents, they are much less likely to bring people home have people over and open up their social life in a way that would lead them to finding a future wife or husband.

So they may have $100,000 in the bank by the time they are 34, but have they missed some peak years to socialize and have fun and meet people in the way that you can by having a place by yourself or by living with roommates their own age?

Then there’s the judgment they may encounter by the opposite sex for living with her parents.

Lol at being so simple minded and revolving it all around pussy. That's all this arguments come to in the end. Don't come off as a complete loser and your dating life will be nearly identical to those living on their own. Whats not being mentioned is how a ton of guys are living solo and still don't get laid LOL. Or the guys who do find a woman end up being in a sexless marriage LOL.

If you're that worried, just show the womwn you meet your bank account and let her know what you do for a living and she'll be 100% ok dating you. Hell she'll convince to move in after 6 months.

We aren’t talking about even 20s we’re talking about 30s. Let’s say if you want to have a party or you wanna cook dinner for your date or just hang out and watch a movie. Your mom and dad are there I mean how does anyone accomplish this? These are basic social activities that people do on a weekly basis but if you’re living with your parents, I can’t see it happening.

also this. It’s not like you become sexually attractive because you have your own place. I know plenty of guys who have their own places and don’t get any.

They have 'love motels' in south korea for this reason, since most people in their 20's still live at home, cause buying/renting a place is impossible there

Considering how our economy is going, we should probably start doing the same

We're debating cooking dinner for a date vs zero debt and $100k savings?

Then by all means go be a rentcel giving money to a jew master. I'd rather have zero debt and $100k cash to buy a house.

This
It's just hard to function as a developed adult in your 30s living at home

And you're right we talking 30s and 20s here

I had a 1.5 year stint at home in my late 20s before moving here...it was tolerable but not permanent

Brb no inviting girls over ( I have gf now anyways) , brb mom asking where you went when you leave the house etc . BRB odd random argument

And I get a long well with my parents and visit them regularly now days living on my own.

Why can't someone do both?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

In the Dominican Republic they have what looks like garages you pull your car into and the door shuts. There are steps leading to a room with a jacuzzi and bed. Nobody sees the car so they can't go tell the wife he's cheating at the no tell motel.

I really never intended to growing up. I lived in a small town with not much opportunity and my grandmother spoke multiple languages and I had a few set backs. I stayed with them until my upper 20”s. My parents were cool though. I had my own area of the house and helped with bills and I could drink smoke whatever. I had planned on the army twice but coincidentally broke my ankle playing basketball both times I as signing up. Eventually met a woman and moved to another town. I prefer my own place. Had bad experiences with male roonates and women are bad with money. I go to work, the gym and to the grocery store. Game in my down time. My parents live fairly far but they have a nice house and honestly if something happens to them I’d be ok with moving ba k with them to take care of them. I know sone peoples family are strange but mobe was religious and clean. We watch sports and cook together. Now days most Americans I meet are on drugs or they steal and I prefer not to associate with people like that

Spot on boyo

Adults staying at home typically become bitter themselves, and definitely are stunted. Hard not to be when you aren't able to get laid with a decent woman for several years.

Also what kind of weirdo actually enjoys the idea of spending that time with their parents.

Why would anyone listen to "You" when it comes to anything???

People talk about the benefits of living with family to save money, but what’s the end goal there? Is it to still eventually move out, just at a later time? Or are you advocating to just live with family until they die?

In the case of the latter, how can you realistically start a family of your own under those circumstances? (which I guess doesn’t apply it your goal is to be an lifelong bachelor)

Also, people are living pretty long nowadays, your parents might not die till you're 50-60 years old.

Regardless of what you do for a living or how much $ you saved, you will still be significantly hindered in the dating game living with parents post 30. It just becomes a logistical issue at that point .

If you have that much saved and you work a " good job" then why the fuk wouldn't you have your own place by 30 +

This entire argument is redundant. Every person has their own perspective and priorities in life.

Some people value their parents and they form a big part of their life

some people don't and can never understand that relationship so they find petty ways to discredit people who choose to live at home.
I appreciate well thought out subtle trolling.

The faster you can buy a house, the better. Someone who lived at home and bought a house in 2019 is 5 - 10 years ahead of someone who moved out and in currently renting.

It may or may not hinder you. Even if it does, some people would rather have a house than worry about dating. Some people would rather pay a mortgage than pay rent. If that means staying with the parents then more power to them. House + zero debt = life on easy mode.

There's guys who live on their own and still don't get laid.
There's guys that got married and are now in sexless marriages.

I am close to my childhood friends and get to interact with my parents daily as they reach old age. It's nice that they know they are loved and also equally involved in mine and my wife's life. I hope to have a child in the next few years and look forward to watching my parents develop a close bond with my children and provide some purpose during their retirement.

And also provides an opportunity for me and my wife to start saving enough money that hopefully in a few years, me my wife and my parents can sell our current house and move into a bigger and better house as my family grows or we buy our own house if we feel like we need to. Right now the situation is fine but I do understand people do need their own space one day but I feel content continuing this routine until I am around 35/36 tbh.
I haven't lived with my parents since age 21.

And you accused me of being in HR nonstop. OK.

I always like your posts.

My Dad always has a bunch of TVs on so I couldn't handle the noise and the place never smells good--even with monthly cleaning. He'll do odd things like put smelly socks on the kitchen table and I can't handle that.

Lived alone for years - it sucked, why is that what is pushed in our culture? Moved back in at 29 and its not as lonely now. Instead of paying $2000 a month on rent, I put $2000 a month in a vanguard account. This will be worth millions of dollars by the time I retire, or could allow for me to retire a decade early as another potential option, or use it to buy a house if/when the market becomes better. I am also able to max out my 401k and Roth IRA. What's the point of moving out if you don't have a wife and kids? I love my family and enjoy spending time with them.

Maybe im wrong, but one thing I noticed is the rich make everything easy for themselves and family.

MOGGERS pay for their kid's life expenses every step of the way. Top universities, top internships, top starting salaries, the best company positions

Meanwhile average wagecel thinks moving out at 18 and going $45k in student loan debt is putting your big boy pants on. Wagecels think their boss, the same kid who had everything handed to him, is the actual loser in this scenario.

Someone can become rich and well off and not live at home. Not sure I really see the relationship

To me , being well off or doing well..is having enough money for your living expenses but then also having a abundance of cash for other things

People who got well off enough to make it easier for their family members probably didn't get that $ off leeching off parents in their 30s.

Not gonna lie, the only thing more pathetic than an incel living in mom's basement is a rentcel.

You call it leeching, but wealthy parents paying for their kid's expenses dates back way before the Middle ages. Emporers, Pharaohs, Kings, and queens all did this.

Rich parents: Keep their kid at home or buy them a house. Sends them top universities. Gives them best job positions

Peasants/wageslaves: Kick kids out or they're a loser. Kids cucked by student loans, job market, and housing. All while being bossed around by the rich kid who lived at home and had everything handed to him.
