How does Vegas set the spreads/totals for games and be correct most of the time?

Obviously you don’t have a bunch of guys sitting together at a table doing this. Algorithms?

They have to use some sort of software for this as they are right so much of the time it seems impossible for just some guy in the backroom doing it.

I wonder what program they use. Has to be some industry wide thing.

Dont they run a sim program with the latest data thousands of times?

Most table games they barely break even.

Slots are fixed payouts that favor the house by a big margin and are where casinos make 60% or more of their profits. But dumb people keep those one armed bandits in business. Basically an extra tax on dumb people.
