Did any of you boys fall madly in love when you first saw this video on MTV in 1997?

Recall having MTV on all time time, just waiting for this video to be played. MTV & VH1. Back when they still showed music videos. Didn't let anyone know about it though. Kids might've called me a big pussy or something. And I really didn't want that. Certainly didn't want kids calling me a big pussy. Eventually, I got it recorded on a VHS and replayed it all the time, fellas. Played it all the time as my heart slowly melted down into my pre-pubescent viscera. How sweet it was.

I didn't have MTV in the 90s but I remember Jewel in general. I have no specific feelings about her, though. She's cute. Lots of girls in the 90s were really desirable.

Absolutely. Far more genuine and much less manufactured than a lot of the other female talent to emerge from the late '90s. You look at Spears and just think of her as boner material. Only slightly above the softcore pornstars on late night Cinemax. Nothing more than a manufactured celebrity who was heavily marketed on sex appeal. Jewel actually wrote her own songs, played guitar and brought more to the table than short skirts & ripe cleavage.
