So the election is always on the same year as leap year

Wonder what's really going on and happening on 2/29 that they needed to build an extra day during election years.

Not believing it's coincidence.

More bizarre thing is that there are exactly 24 hours in a single day with no seconds or minutes left over. Nice round number. And we add this extra day because they had exactly a quarter-of-a-day extra on the yearly calendar? No extra seconds or minutes once again? Exactly 6 hours? Works out to an extra 24 hours every four years....why never any extra seconds or minutes? They just rounding that to the nearest hour or what?

It has to be exact though or else at some point the sun would come up noticeably earlier and/or later.... that's how you know this is all fake. Nothing is that perfect, yet it is.

I wonder if years are gradually getting longer. There used to be a 360 day calendar.

We actually add a second every so often as well. Last time was 2016. Just no one gives a fuk.

A year is about 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 56 seconds. Which is why we don’t actually have a leap year every four years. We skip 3 leap years every 400 years to account for the difference. There wasn’t one in 1700, 1800 or 1900. If you’re still alive in 2100 you’ll see there’s no extra day that year.
