The ones with proper analysis weren't painting that rosy picture, and people on here were left humiliated and couldn't even own it, they had to invent stupid conspiracy theories.

Plus, poll addicts cherry pick like a mofo. It happens here. They pick favourable polls and claim Trump wins. There are so many polls with differing accuracy and some are quite biased.


Cold calling people isn't the most reliable way to get answers to your questions. Have you ever worked in a call centre? The only people who will have a conversation longer than a few minutes are mentally disabled or elderly people.

I think it is fair to say the polls at this time aren't too important, however if you look at Trumps polling aggregate polling data all the way back to 2015 or whenever they started he never maintained a lead and hardly ever came close to tying his opponents, so the current data which is showing him holding a good lead for a significant amount of time. These polls which have all underestimated his performance, even in 2020 when he lost. This is a significant development. If the election was today Trump easily wins and probably wins the popular vote. I say he's have a 50/50 shot of winning even if he was trialiing in the polls by 7 points because that's where he was at in 2020 against biden. So if polls have him barely loosing while trailing 7 points nationally in 2020, a two point lead in 2024 is huge.

further in april of 2020 biden had a 6 point lead, on election day it was 7 point, so the polls didn't change much in that time and the final results were off by about 3 points in Trumps favor. So even the polls are wrong by 3% against Trump this time he would still easily win with 49% of the vote

so it is significant but it could change, and we will definitely know with a lot more certainty what will happen in fall with the fall polls and I'd be the first to say, like when in 2020 I told everyone trump was going to lose, even if the polls were wrong and got negged to oblivion.
