Different topic but in Washington DC a jury awarded a global warming researcher 1 million dollar due to what he called defamation against a reporter. In most other cities I doubt such an award would be given by a jury. Since DC is deep blue, and global warming is a big political issue for Democrats, the reporter was punished, even if his reporting was right.
