You cared enough to enter the thread and comment completely off topic. Guess that's what your actual interest is.

And I'm not confused at all, I know why. He doesn't have the money. Oh and he offered to pay $100 million... guess that's what people offer when facing a "fraud fine".

Imagine a world in which there is a dispute about the value of your properties. This is the first time the law has ever been manipulated in the way it was to go after Trump. It was a victimless "crime" in which all parties agreed on the valuation, a loan was provided, and it was repaid on time. The judge unilaterally authorizes the highest penalty ever in the US against an individual. In order to even appeal the ridiculous fine, you have to quickly liquidate assets at neither a huge tax burden (short + long term capital gains) or to give up property all together... just to challenge the fact that the penalty is ridiculous and you should be allowed to keep said money/property.

It's pure clown world, but half of the country is cheering it on.

I'll never buy the "Trump the Victim" card. The dude made his mark playing this game and using the courts literally thousands of times to get his way. A little too late to start crying now, not that I think that behind the scenes he's worried about any of this chit. He's fine.

Agree about clown world, half the country is cheering it on, the other half is cheering against, but everyone is entertained.

Sounds like he’s a failed businessman, despite inheriting daddy’s money and getting hundreds of millions from his autistic fanbase.

The goal has always been to waste his time and money heading into an election. They don't care if it all fails on appeal, their purpose was still successful.

Trump made up to $160 million from foreign countries as president
https://www.citizensforethics.org/re...-as-president/

...

Trump pulled in the most money from the United Kingdom, where his Aberdeen and Turnberry golf courses in Scotland helped him gross $58 million. Trump’s now-defunct hotel and tower in Vancouver helped him pull in $36.5 million from Canada. Trump brought in more than $24.4 million from Ireland, home to his often-visited Doonbeg golf course, as well as $9.6 million from India, and nearly $9.7 million from Indonesia.

...

Trump also made millions from making the Secret Service pay high fees at his hotels, gave himself millions in tax cuts, and possibly ensured additional billions for his kids by getting rid of the estate tax.

Among many other profiteering endeavors...

Not to mention his DC Hotel where he got foreign and domestic lobbyists to stay hoping to garner favor

SHANGHAI (AP) — The Chinese government granted 18 trademarks to companies linked to President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump over the last two months, Chinese public records show, raising concerns about conflicts of interest in the White House.

In October, China’s Trademark Office granted provisional approval for 16 trademarks to Ivanka Trump Marks LLC, bringing to 34 the total number of marks China has greenlighted this year, according to the office’s online database. The new approvals cover Ivanka-branded fashion gear including sunglasses, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as well as beauty services and voting machines.

The approvals came three months after Ivanka Trump announced she was dissolving her namesake brand to focus on government work.

Wrong

Trump transferred his companies into a revocable trust, allowing him to tell the trustees how to run the company and fire them at any time. Trump retained his financial stake in the business, despite having offered during the campaign to put all his assets in a blind trust should he win the presidency.
