Damn, reading some posts here and I really wanna jump into Rebirth but I have to play Remake and the Yuffie DLC first. I'm at least very excited for the DLC since I haven't touched it yet.

Cleared up the first set of (boring) odd jobs in the slums and now I'm gonna collect my pay from Barret.

I do enjoy completing every side quest

And there’s a story recap on the menu screen of rebirth but I highly recommend doing one full play through of remake right before which I did I finished it 2-3 weeks ago.

Finishing every side quest and collecting ever song was fun imo. If this play through feels like a chore it’s because you are eager to play rebirth otherwise it’s the best sp from ps4.
Rebirth delivers on every front so far only chapter 3 and I’m
In zero rush for it to end.

It was my 3rd play through so I too played remake before I just went hard on a final one to play both in a row.

I cant remember the last time I've noticed how amazing, varied and good the OST is in a video game. We've had some great music throughout the years, but this is the first game since GOW2018 where I've noticed just how amazing and front and centre the music is. It really adds so much to the experience and atmosphere.


Also all these towns/cities are amazing. So many people and things happening.

Dude LMAO just did the queens blood tournament on the boat in chapter 5. the ending had my DYING dude.

fakk im on the last round on the tournament. Tried like 3 times but lost ... need to head out now, so gotta try beat her once I come back.


Any tips? card comp strategies? ... im literally failing upwards with queens blood lmao, have no clue how to set up my deck, but im just brute forcing it.

same, I have a strategy down thats basically raw aggression but its basically trial and error until it works, I usually lose a few times first.

Played the first 6 hours so far on Fidelity Mode. 30fps felt fine after a while. Had no urges to switch to performance mode during that entire time. Was enjoying it too much.

I'm actually surprised just how open world it is. Just the grasslands area alone is huge.

Got my chocobo and about to cross the swamp. But might complete some World Intel first for GigaChadley.

Game is amazing. Feels so right. I especially love how you only need to touch the chocobo to ride it. No mounting BS. Now just need a way to launch off the chocobo like in HFW.

Is this game worth buying a ps5 for?

Not a fan of sp games anyways so not sure if I’ll enjoy this

Does it have a ton of puzzles or grindy missions that feel like a chore?
I don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs

I loved the alternative take in Remake with the Whispers and Team Cloud defying fate. I can't wait to see what they do in the Rebirth story. I already knew going in that it wasn't going to be a 1:1 remake of the story.

The fact that Zack shows up and even Sephiroth was surprised by it (in the trailer) added a ton of intrigue.

It does have the Assassins Creed style open world exploration stuff, right down to the towers that reveal more stuff.

I do think they went a bit overboard with the minigames though. Not even at the gold saucer yet and there’s been like almost 10 minigames.

Got the plat for Remake and I was planning on getting it for this but idk. I’ll have to see how I feel after I finish. The minigames might stop me.

I'm not a completionist and think trophies are a waste of time, so the mini-games in Rebirth are fine so far. They aren't overly difficult right now.

The Intel VR battles felt like chore tho. But you do get materia from them.

I beat part one remake on ps4 and tried to do another playthrough like 6 months ago lol

Never played the yuffie dlc, or 16

Gonna wait for the pc release (4060 gpu master race)
