I owe money because Joe Biden decided to change the withholding rates combined with a bonus that was withheld at a lower than normal rate.

Fuk you Joe.

Joey B trying to stimulate the economy by making people think they were making more than they were so they would spend throughout the year. In the end it doesn't bother me too much because I put my excess disposable income into savings, but I hate pulling from savings to pay the IRS when I thought I was going to get a few thousand back.

Only getting back $100 or so return. Probably just gonna sit in my checking account forever and/or justify an extra uber eats delivery or 2.

Don't blame JOe bro, blame the resident liberals like sicilliebrazzillie and silencespeaks.

You are paying for Silencespeaks meds and sicillie's illegitimate kids born from a tree stump.

I just changed my withholdings last winter because I ended up owing like $100 for 2022. I don't really care that much. Might as well just get more in my paycheck then get it back all at once the next year.

This.

A larger tax return is nice in-the-moment because it feels like a bonus. But the fact you're getting that high of a return also means you could've gotten way more per paycheck, that you could've invested all this time. By having a higher tax return, you've essentially given the government a 0% interest free loan of your income. I'd rather that money have been in NVDA stocks lol.

I bought an ebike. Sweet one too. Goes pretty fast and can climb any hill with ease.

Are you the one with the thing at home to put your bike in to use it indoors? If so, would that still work with an ebike?

Lol at slaving away for some boss who tells you when to work and how to work. Lol at being forced to give the government an interest free loan then celebrating when the government gives you back the money.

Depending on the ebike yeah. I had a bike trainer before, but didn't like how it wears out the back tire over time

Oh I see. Didn't know it would wear out the back tire.

I've thought about an e-bike because the hills around here are pretty crazy and majority would be at end of ride. I'd only use it if needed to get up last hill or two. But aren't e-bikes pretty heavy? They look heavy. Not sure it if would make it more difficult to pedal up hills without using the assist.
