Getting an ablation done tomorrow boyos, nervous af

They going to insert a catheter around my groin area and going to freeze/burn some chit in my heart so it beats normal again

Been working out with this issue for over a year now…sometimes it felt like I was going to pass out

If I don’t post after tomorrow then yall know what happened

Fuark that makes me feel better…my aunt had one awhile back too and shes fine

They got some new meds that prevents blood clots too, apparently thats the biggest issue after getting one, if you get any issues

Good luck boyo, it should be a routine procedure, and has a very high success rate. Make sure you’re getting it done in a reputable hospital, and try to have someone from your family around. Things to look out for include a bad reaction to heparin, and I’d ask family to keep an eye on that if you start feeling off.

Will do…apparently they gotta expose my genitals to shave the groin area to insert the catheter so I’m going to do some jelqing tonight to look thick, solid, & tight for the hbb nurses

Yea got my gf that’ll be around…i’m taking eliquis for the blood thinning to prevent clots…been needing to take it before and after the procedure apparently

Not sure if they’ll give me heparin too

If you should ever need a hole in your heart I have a relative that can help. He, strangely to me, does this for a living. I guess in some circumstances it can help with some condition.

Literally had it done a week ago. You will be OK, they will shave both sides of your groin down to the frank and beans and as soon as the anesthesiologist gives you the good stuff you will be out like a light.
They're gonna tell you not to lift anything heavier than 10 lbs and no rough sex.

I had two tubes up one leg and 1 up the other plus a camera down my throat, that was the hardest part. My sheit was rough for 3 days.

Sadly probably true. My issues kicked off right after. Military docs brushed me off like I was bullchitting so had to go out of my way to see a specialist and get things figured out.

good luck OP. I had an electrophysiology study where they ended up freezing part of my heart to get the electrical working right again. Yep, the whole thing sucks but it's nice not having further electrical problems.

I haven't had an ablation, but I have had the laser threaded up there to remove pacemaker wires.

You know how they like you to get out of bed ASAP afterwards and go to the bathroom? I stood up and blood squirted all over the floor. You should have seen the nurse panic, before getting me back in bed and applying pressure.

Bruising was crazy and extended up past my hip bone.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.

They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

I'm guessing you are getting it done for a-fib or SVT? No big deal. The hospital I work at does 10+ a day.

The worst part is you are going to have to lay flat and not move your leg for 3-4 hours after the procedure. But it's not bad at all.
Only in America could you find a way to earn a healthy buck And still keep your attitude on self-destruct

I’ve been in these cases a million times and 99.99% of the time it’s chill af so I wouldn’t worry about it. The cardiologists are pros. Only bad things that can happen are they ablate too much or the wrong area and your heart stops beating correctly but they can still pace your heart and put in a pacemaker if that happens. The other main thing that can go wrong is that they puncture your heart with the catheter but that is EXTREMELY rare. It happened at my hospital and the patient did code immediately but they survived the procedure after we crashed onto bypass and they’re fine now. You’ll be good don’t worry about it. Also ask for lots of versed in preop just tell them you’re nervous. Feels great and will erase your memory completely within like 30 secs of getting it in your IV.

Also the software they use to map the electrical conduction of your heart is sooooo impressive so you’ll do great man.

Other than the humiliation, it was a cake walk srs
