It's pretty brilliant move. The corporations will just pass the cost onto consumers and the politicians will get to blame the greedy corporations for price hikes. They get to raise taxes with none of the blame.

Im not sure why (R) voters feel the need to protect billionaires at all costs, especially when the majority are financing politicians trying too end you?

We see threads here all the time about leftist voters being mocked after facing the consequences of their votes, especially when being violently attacked in blue cities....but billionaires, who are voting for leftist politicians promising to increase their taxes ten fold...like I said, must be protected at all costs.

Well, when you believe that most taxes are theft, it's hard to say that only some should pay them. Raising taxes won't affect their overall wealth much but it's still theft and they'll donate to their buddies no matter what. I'm against people donating to politicians, you want to be one? Then fund it yourself

As always, the tax increases will be structured in a way where billionaires can avoid paying the increases through offsets and loopholes, yet the middle class will be saddled with more unavoidable taxes somehow. Book it.

I get the argument. The problem is tax hikes using justification buzzwords like billionaires almost always translates to taxes on the moderately wealthy or upper middle class. In the case of corporations, that cost just gets passed onto consumers of all income levels.

The bottom line is increasing taxes on anyone is a symptom of the bigger problem that the government spends too much on chit we don't need.

What do you care if it's theft though?? The billionaires are the ones who are financing politicians promising to take their wealth. The left has been promising this for 40 years lol The GOP needs to get out of the way and call their bluff, because thats what it is.

A very small example is that Trump capped SALT deductions and these same tax the rich leftists like Schumer freaked out over it.

Today, U.S Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand introduced legislation in the new Congress to eliminate the $10,000 cap on the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction starting in 2021.

Higher-income taxpayers in high-tax locations are most impacted by the $10,000 SALT cap. Any changes to lift the cap would primarily benefit higher earners and make the tax code more regressive.

Would rather them go through the budget with a fine tooth comb and cut out all the bull****.
Then cut off all money sent to other countries including the DC slush fund known as Ukraine.
Kick out all illegals and beef up border security. Bring home all the troops stationed in countries around the world and put them on the border.
There is a lot more common sense approaches but let’s start with these simple ones.

Pretty standard election year class warfare stuff. I don't care if they raise taxes a bit on billionaires, but the corporate tax is full on retard mode, since it is always paid by the consumer in the end. It's amazing how every lefty doesn't realize that basic reality.

I guess because we don't see why its a good idea to take the billionaires money (which comes from the cost of goods sold that we purchase) handing it to the government to run through their inefficient machine a few times and handing it out to randoms.

It's not so much protecting billionaires as it is wishing the government would just leave people TF alone. Take a look around... Another $100b to Ukraine, NYC alone just got another cash infusion of $50m JUST for illegals, money pissed away to Israel, free apartments and more benefits for more illegals.... And on, and on, and on.

We've got mad problems bro. And punishing people financially to pay for it all - whether they be billionaires or middle-class, is not the solution bro.
