Are seeing Owen's lack of any charisma in the Sam Spade thing recently I am glad he didn't get it. Cannot imagine fop boy Grant doing anything physical, has he ever played anything other than some wimpy cuck in romance films for women?

There’s a very obvious pattern of the first film with a new Bond actor being terrific, and then all the subsequent sequels with the same actor being trash.

I think two things are going on:

1) Each time they bring in a new Bond actor it brings a subtly different flavour to the series and effectively “refreshes” it.

2) Because it’s a new actor, the whole production generally has more effort put into it. You can’t get “lazy” when introducing a new Bond actor, whereas they do get lazy with the sequels because they’ve already established the new actor.

Lol’d. Tell me you have zero taste without actually telling me.

Elba is an atrocious choice. Absolutely terrible actor. He’s the UK equivilent of Jason Mamoa.

Fassbender on the other hand is a wonderful choice. The man can do anything.

Living Daylights is also good

Oh have a day off

Watched GE recently just to see why the misc has such a hard on for it. It’s aged terribly looks cheap and shoddy now

Dalton ones are ok and better than anything that came after but nowhere near peak Moore.

Moore really didn’t make a bad one. AVTAK is I’m sure his least regarded but it’s still got some cool stunts, no cgi and Walken chewing the scenery

Actually watched goldfinger with my two boys last night

They really like goldeneye, we were looking at OHMSS, never say never again, thunderball, die another day, diamonds are forever.

The 9 year old picked goldfinger, I prolly woulda pushed for thunderball or diamonds are forever if those two hadn’t been rentals instead of free. Goldfinger went over well with them despite the age.

You sat through The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, Octopussy & A View To A Kill & thought they were anything other than garbage aside from his performance? No matter how good he was at playing Bond in every film he did, those were the worst Bond Films. The first two were really good & the one with the ice skating hottie was solid though.

There is nothing wrong with any of those four apart from possibly AVTAK. Two horrible actresses (Roberts and Jones) are the main problem.

The other three are great and frankly better than FYEO. They are all a lot better than anything post LTK. Confirmed by massive box office performances

Next Bond should be Aaron Taylor Johnson

Didn't the franchise get rid of Bronson due to the Bourne films, they wanted to go down the same more physical route.

The biggest problem with Octopussy was luvvie ham Berkoff overacting, like he did a couple of years later in Rambo 2.

They were so much fun and memorable. Even his last one A View to a Kill was better than any of the Daniel Craig bores. So many memorable stunts and scenes plus Moores natural charm. I always enjoy rewatching them. Craigs were just dour and miserable, not in the spirit of Bond at all.
