Warren G's "Regulate" is considered a classic, but I always LOL whenever I hear it

Boyos, so the premise of the song is this:

1) Warren G and Nate Dogg are both cruising the block looking for h0es to d/ck down
2) Warren G sees a gang of negroes shooting craps and thinks it's a good idea to join
3) Gang of negroes beats the f/ck outta Warren G and rob his ass
4) Meanwhile, Nate Dogg is looking for Warren G and he happens to run into a gang of h0es cruising for BBC
5) H0es get distracted by Nate's sexual energy and crash they car
6) Nate Dogg looks over and sees his homie Warren G getting his ass beat and robbed
7) Nate pulls out his strap and lays them bustas down
8) Nate and Warren G collect themselves after the scuffle, and their mind turns back to cruising for h0es
9) Nate and Warren pick up those h0es that crash their car
10) The group heads to the Eastside Motel for a BBC orgy
11) Warren G, now experiencing post nut clarity, ponders the future of G-Funk gangsta rap...


End Song

Like srs, I remember all the dumb suburban White boys playing this song on repeat thinking they was hard as f/ck. Meanwhile, as a kid, I was high IQ enough to understand the sheer comedy of how ridiculous the premise of this song is.... It's basically Warren G rapping about how he got his ass beat and robbed....

And now, as an adult, I look back on this song and still LOL at how ridiculous it....

9mm semiauto can hold 30 rounds in the magazine, a revolver holds 6.

Op, I think it was based on a real incident so him getting robbed by some dudes he just met and started playing dice with is actually true and the whole song is a stylized retelling of a LBC horror story turned happy finale. For some reason I remember this being said by someone from death row years ago in a documentary. I am not sure though.


Warren G was related to Dr Dre.

Nate Dog was terrified whenever he went to death row and always stayed strapped cause he didn’t trust suge knight and his blood gang goons.

Yeah, I mean, the night started out harmless enough. It was just Warren and Nate cruising the block looking for h0es to d1ck down - a typical saturday night in the LBC.

But things took an awful turn when Waren thought a group of mean-looking n/ggas would welcome him into their game of dice....

Boom, next thing you know them n/ggas rushed Warren and "took his rings, took his rolex" and he looked at the dudes and said "damn, what's next?"....


Fortunately, his homie Nate was nearby and was able to pull out his strap and lay them bustas down.

And Nate and Warren even managed to finish off the night with a BBC orgy at the Eastside MoteeeeEEEEEeeellllllll.....

Glad Warren was able to find a happy ending in this awful situation.

Most fullsize 9mm magazines hold 17 rounds. Most people fully load it then rack one into the chamber. So 16 in the mag and 1 in the chamber. Some people eject the mag and put in that 17th round back in so they have 18 total. But a lot of people don't.


However in the 90s most full-size handguns only held 15 in the mag. He was most likely talking about a Glock 17. (srs).
