the previous one wanted to play a certain system/football and he tried to push this through even though he didn't have the players designed for that (highly technical and refined lol)

it has to happen this weekend though: a win against Westerlo and at least 2 out of 3 others need to lose points (Cercle, Gent, Genk)

last game away at OHL is gonna be a hard one, ideally a draw is enough (this would mean Gent and Genk losing at least 1 of their 2 last games)

would be a pretty insane comeback, from relegation play-offs to championship play-offs lol
Hope they win brah. If not I'll be here waiting to dunk on you.

Btw, how is the stadium going? Wasn't there like one side that still needed to get upgraded?

yeah one side behind the goal but there isn't that much room to built something worthwhile since there's a street and cemetery directly behind it lol

only possibility is to go full Boca Juniors and built something with levels to it (no doc dark)

there was a plan to do it by 2025 but this went into the fridge since there's a massive debt as it is already and it won't really bring any real benefit tbh

edit:

found an aerial pic, it's from during construction of the last stand they built

as you can see there isn't much room behind the goal on the left

even with only 3/4 new stands it's still one of the best in Belgium

that's saying something lmfao

getting a building permit for a stadium is a real struggle here

besides Mechelen only Genk, Anderlecht, Standard and Gent have a decent stadium imo (the latter meaning more cinema than football stadium but it is what it is)

but I wouldn't trade with any of them since 2 of those are all-seaters and the other 2 are 90% seated

lol, that stadium is a joke as well

after the failed attempt to built the Eurostadium for EURO 2020 they came up with a "Golden Generation Arena" renovation plan

even trew that in the trash and just nailed a couple of new seats to the stands and called it a day

absolute poverty tier

curious to see where Alonso ends up

both Bayern and Liverpool seem to be pulling his sleeve lol

would get mad respect from me if he stays and writes even more history at Leverkusen though

titleshould be in the bag and don't forget they're also in the semis of the cup where they have a home game against Düsseldorf from second division

and in the EL they should also be in the QF realistically

would be epic if Alonso does a Mourinho's Porto

Replying to your other comment to me back in the misc.

I'm willing to eat a bit of crow on Havertz. I said he was a chitbag waste of money start of season and now he's reasonably impressed me. I think he's starting to really fit the multiple playing styles format Arteta wants. Really been significant in the last few games.

I think he does well as a false 9 who can play the ball up and get a goal at a critical juncture. But....we still need a good striker if we want to succeed in the European championships. We should make a serious bid for Mbappe.

I know it won't happen, but we should bid for Mbappe anyway.
Back off, Warchild.

Would be a pretty epic run if Leverkussen manage to tie Rapid Wien for amount of German leagues won by a club.

Fuarkkk just finished watching Arsenal Porto replay as I missed the game live today due to work.

Honestly, thought Arsenal might have bottled it in the penalty shootout knowing Arsenal. Started getting flashbacks from last season vs Sporting in Europa League lol.

Fuark just watched the CL draw not bad.

Arsenal vs Bayern
Atletico vs Dortmund
Real Madrid vs City
PSG vs Barca

Honestly, I'm not afraid of Bayern I wanted to avoid Madrid, City, and PSG(Mbappe) so could've been a lot worse.

I actually like the Atletico vs Dortmund matchup(TokenV will be happy) two completely different styles Atletico sitting back, and Dortmund playing free flowing football, but can't defend. I think Atletico takes it.

City over Madrid

PSG Barca huge tossup...I'll take PSG seems like Barca got too many injuries in midfield.

If we beat Bayern we face Man City or Madrid in semi-final.

For Bayern, we've got Home leg first and that can be a major advantage. The first leg winner has gone onto the semi in 18/19 times. Home first can be a huge advantage, especially if we can bank up a sizeable goal advantage. But of course, Gunners do have an issue with complacency and letting teams back into the game when we're ahead.

The Bayern fans are banned from the away leg too I believe, because they are firework throwing fhaggots. LOL.

The really good news is that if we get through Bayern and either City or Madrid, we will have a really excellent chance at winning the final. The teams on the other side of the draw are not as good as these 4.
Back off, Warchild.
