There have been multiple studies establishing the existence of long covid that aren't based on surveys. Why ignore those, OP? Indeed, many viruses have post infection symptoms. But covid presented differently from flu. There are many today still suffering from long covid, which amounts to complications due to the viral infection.

There are also well known inflammatory responses that can occur after a covid infection and persist for years as well. Get back to me when your favorite antivaxxer/antimasker/covid denier blog addresses these.
