Most of it is straight from Quran boyo. It did start an AI revolution story in the 60s before Terminator existed. I read the books after and they do leave out enough stuff to make reading the first 2 worth after watching the movie. You’ll realize they also turned male characters into female dingers in the movies

Casting sucks, acting sucks, only thing saving it is great special effects and plot. Dinger Chani is really bad, and twink Paul actually fighting anyone let alone multiple sarudukar is beyond silly. They turned the sardukar into star wars storm troopers that just mindlessly run to their death 1 by 1 and can't hit anything even sand dingers wide open in the barren desert with ridiculously powerful machine guns. Utterly terrible.
