The city I live in is just over 25% black. I'd be willing to bet 90% of homicides are by blacks. The most popular nightlife area of downtown has had police and barricades set up on the weekends for months and it isn't because of Chad or Becky. Obviously one can't blame the far majority of black people looking to just get yucky, but at the same time the violence is by a small segment of them exclusively. Some places that have had dress codes (no du rags, not giant white Ts, other sloppy crap) have been labeled as "racist" yet they've never had more than some drunken shoving and fistacuffs thrown, tame AF. The mall that no one goes to anymore but used to have nice stores that are long gone - because of some gang shootings from years ago. The area around it is too dark for that inevitability to not happen. Same story in every city with similar demographics.

I truly don't get how people who are unaffected by inner city crime spend so much time complaining about it, while not caring about the solutions. Granted I don't leave the house much, I haven't been a witness to violent crime in the past two years and I've mostly lived in places with diversity representative of the country as a whole or even moreso. I see a fight or two if I'm out at a bar or something, but it's not Gotham City. It's like the racist white boogeyman syndrome.

dunno the solution but i would think there is some benefit to recognizing what groups of people contribute most to the problem.

You replace the alternator and its just "fixed." I'd wager there's a lot more that goes into "repairing" the disparity of crime in a racial demographic than fixing a problem with a car (the alternator).
