Seeing this convo/video from the Chechen War - no wonder the jihadists are giving RU
trouble right now.
All of those -stan countries ex Soviet land alongside Chechnya are basically treated as the backwaters anti-NATO buffer zones. Never respected during Soviet Union, Russians probably do not rate Dagestanis, Chechens etc.
The Tajikistanis that did this were probably like the Chechens who did the Russian apartment building bombings. Then Russia enforced its rule on Chechnya, installed Kadyrov in exchange to keep funds stable.
Totally different culture and since Putin backed Assad in Syria he is as hated as the USA by Islamic separatists because ISIS and the likes want a total Islamic Caliphate and everyone else out.

Same reason why negativity gets more views than positivity...humans are just wired wrong I think to be destructive
