Thoughts on the band "P.O.D."

Like everyone else, I knew about them in 2001 - you had to be living under a rock if you didn't know the songs "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation"

After their first album "Satellite" in 2001, I basically forgot about them. But now, I've been listening to some of their other albums after Satellite, and I think they're good. Their blend of rock, rap, and reggae isn't bad (many an artist have tried to combine those genres and failed)

They're coming out with a new album in May. I like the song "Afraid to Die," feating Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinger. I hope to see a POD concert this year

I actually had no clue for a long time that POD was considered "Christian metal." Their music has no overt references to religion, and the band members themselves say that they are not a Christian band. They are Christian in their personal lives, but their music isn't Christian

I recall their earlier tunes, they were cool. Really nostalgic now. The early 2000s were an interesting time.
