The vast majority are, but there are probably some legit new ones in there somewhere. People thought all new users were troll accounts when I joined.

Agreed. I was certainly one of the advocates for saying it's just a fun place to banter and not to take it too seriously and all. But all the recent chit, like that guy laughing because the cop with the 1-year old kid got shot and was crying while dying. It's getting a bit too much for me now.

Yup, edgelords like that piece of chit are making this an unpleasant place. Like imagine what must motivate someone to behave that way. They are definitely the lowest of the low, true bottomfeeders. It's no wonder we keep losing decent users, who wants to hang out around people like that?

It honestly seems to be just the same few obsessive degenerates who keep doing it. I think this became a better forum when it was closed off to new registers for a while, people had to actually maintain some standards.

I think it's a bunch of losers running weird "social experiments".

Kind of like how weirdos would troll Tinder as a Chad because it allowed them to gain a further understanding of real life without actually having to participate.

Ironically most would be far less of losers if they just got off the computer and grew enough balls to leave the porch and get lives.

An example of what I mean by weird social experiments would be like I've heard stories of some mods used to have alts to antagonize posters then "punish" them as the mod, with the rep system.

My argument is this: if someone is taking this site, or the internet in general that seriously, with that kind of time to dedicate to it- you're telling me that person isn't 99.99999% probably a weirdo IRL?

What about time for: Work? Hobbies? Friends? Family? Significant Other?

No instead you have endless time to run social experiments on the internet, and manage multiple accounts on forums etc 😂😂😂

Yeah it's funny how by objective measures they're the biggest losers around. Like if you got the time to be making a multitude of accounts on the regular and obsess over users on this forum that you don't like, trying to be some edgelord all the time, you really need to get a life. This place has become way too troll heavy, some people just can't seem to be genuine or talk to people like a normal person.

I'm convinced there hasn't been a "new user" since the forum became available to new users.

all of the March 2024 join dates, know the misc lingo, know other members posting history, are able to recall past events that have happened in the misc etc.

There is no incentive/reason for someone to seek this site out and join when places like Reddit exist.

Yeah true. Say what you want about reddit but you are likely to find some real communities focused on some personal interests you might have who actually know how to talk to people. We have way too many antisocial degenerates running around here these days.

My generation seems like one of the last where healthy in-person socialization was stressed growing up.

For some others they grew up solely with TV, computer, and IPad, video games as "friends" and it shows in their weird antisocial behaviors here.
