Exactly what happens if Trump loses NYC trial?
Srs question. Trial date is now April 15. Some thoughts:
- zero chance he gets a fair jury in NYC
- this is a felony and he could easily get jail time
- trial expected to last 2-3 weeks
- May 15 end date is way before the RNC convention
- It's generally understood the POTUS can't pardon state convictions
So.... if they pull of this scam and put him in jail, does the RNC still select him as the nominee? And if he wins while in jail... then what?

Nothing. He wouldn't have to report to prison pending appeal which won't be quick.

Oh that's right. Because the GOP is in AIPAC's pocket too. Splendid.

Dunno tbh.. i see people saying it won't happen.. they won't put him in jail etc
On the one hand they have had so many schemes against him backfire.. so we kinda default to assuming this will be the same
On the other hand they have become so brazen and don't even try to hide how they are targeting a political opponent
How the hell does one judge decide he needs 480m or so to appeal? then its cut down to 180m.. Any rational person can see this is crazy.. same with the Jean Carrol case.. the original case was bad enough now he's had to put up 90m for that to appeal? its so ****ing obvious they are doing everything to get him tied up legally.. so he can't spend money on his campaign and they can get a conviction.. hence all the recent questions/polls lately about "would you elect a convicted felon?" Oh and you have the AG on record saying how she's going to target him (for an election campaign)
They are doing what they said Trump would do.. "go after his political opponents"
Meanwhile you have a cop killed by some thug who had a bunch of serious priors.. who clearly should have been in jail

The dems intent is not to throw him in jail but to drag this court stuff out endlessly throughout the election cycle.
Having an end to it would actually ruin their plans.

I don't care whether you like Trump or not, that this even got to court is outrageous, the trial is outrageous, and the penalty handed down by the judge is outrageous.
But no one cares because orange man mean tweets. Liberals use to hate big government, now they worship it.
