This incident seems similar:

That doesn't seem unusual when the FBI director claimed back in January that China hackers were preparing to wreak havoc on U.S. infrastructure.

I think it is unusual that the ship changed directions towards the pillar. Anchors can be used to change a ship's direction and it is known that the ships anchor was dropped.
