My point is you just as easily find examples of other folks being assaulted in the US on a daily basis. Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the meaning of systemic marginalization and oppression?

The ethics of using collective corrective affirmative action type measures to rectify inequity is a topic for another thread. In my view, affirmative action is the lazy, capitalist solution to truly resolve inequity, and there are better ways to do it. But you should understand that this is also a zero sum situation. For others to be properly represented, we cannot have an all white government, for example. Your preferred group will have to lose some power under any scheme to improve equity, just as there is no scheme that will properly liberate the poor without removing some of the bourgeoisie's power. This makes you uncomfortable. Good.

But I agree, the topic is about children being forced to receive hormones and surgeries without their nor their parents' consent.
