It's not a race to get to the finish line and Rebirth will still exist when he's done with Intermission. DLCs can be fun just on their own merit, and that's good enough.

I actually came into this thread because I wanted to ask about the dlc, lol. Good to know that it's just a short story, and not really a big deal. I'll try to buy it when it goes on sale, it doesn't sound like it's worth $20.

It's not useless at all, and in this case even though it was short, it gave me a nice linear experience to decompress from Remake before getting ready to head into Rebirth.

Also groaned at all the map markers popping up right after I just left corel after doing all the marker stuff. Might just beeline the mainstory for a while because I can already feel the burnout of meticulously doing the open world stuff.

Nah you only have it if you bought FF7 Remake Intergrade (the PS5 version of the game) or paid to upgrade it if you had the version before. I never had Intermission, I only bought it this year on sale.

Gongaga is awesome the music is amazing, but DONT beeline breh. Dont rush the experience Just take a break. Also yes the navigation does suck in gongaga I had to look up how to get to certain markers

I got to Cosmo canyon and its so huge and I was like alright, I'll come back to this. Been playing other things now when I go back I'll be ready to dive in fresh again

Yeah the music and visuals are tight.


But mehh, I mean so far it doesnt feel like I'll be having any missable stuff and if there is a point of no return, I can always stop there, but for right now I'm fine with beelining. The open world stuff doesn't really add much other than to the lore. I'm still completing the side quests, just a bit bored of the fiend battles, the titan stuff, and the lore markers etc.

Started a second playthrough that’s going to be much more completionist to set up getting the plat since I skipped most side content the first time. Just beat Jules in sit-ups. Might have to do it some more to watch Tifa’s teds jiggle. Anyway, on to Corel.

Pull ups contest I get the W all times. I’m kind of surprised I like the mini games. Rounding up those little **** mogglers Is quite chill too. I like all the side stuff in ffvii. Rebirth. Still on first play though. I laughed seeing Red ride on a chocobo for the first time. I’ll speed up the dialogue but I never ever skip an actual cutscene . My main is Cloud, Barret, and Tifa.

It’s nothing compared to the battles but even so they have their charm. Maybe there’s some cozy gamer in me now, it’s new but of course the battles are intense af. Getting old calming down. Chapter 9. I completely filled my stats on remake. I got all the songs . The oh so pretty dresses. All side missions (23? Iirc?).

The outfits truly are gorgeous cloud looked radiant in it (No homo) the disguise dress scene

Dude,im as old school as it gets.probably more than you. Im not playing this game for the battles. I bought the OG FF7 day one in 1997. Im playing for the experience and story. Its great. Got my little peeves but they for sure made too much filler. I already knew they would.

I know exactly how they planned this. The Final part of the Remake will be a mix of the first one and Rebirth. Not too linear and not as open world as Rebirth. I already know and im very happy with that. Just dont like they made so many mini games. Ive been doing this chit for 30 years.I dont need 30 hours of it. probably more than that really

Compared to the story the combat, side quests nothing touched that, I have said before I played the original but I was 17. And I went into remake pretty much experiencing it anew for the first time. It’s why I never will skip a cutscene in rebirth as said.

I ended up liking it far more than I thought I would and it opened my mind up to rpgs jrpg mostly.

Before that action games snd platformers were my bread and butter

I was 9 years old when i bought the OG. Had the OG FF on NES. im a vet. Only one i know who can touch me is my brother. Glad you like JRPGs. Dont really know what to tell you except Lost Oddysey and Xenogears is better than any FF. got nothing else to add.enjoy. Im on chapter 10 in Rebirth. doing clean up. Not gonna do sit ups if ever.did that chit already in Remake and im a completionist

Just have like 2 world activities left and the battle Sim challenges and summon before I'm finally done with Gongaga. Good riddance, I really dislike this map.

Overall really enjoying the game but it has some issues for example way too many copy pasted world activities per region. That coupled with the maps having too much verticality can make navigation quite annoying.

Another major complaint I have is that imo you should be able to use summons from back line characters. They're literally right there so why tf should I be limited to only the summons I have on 3 frontline characters? Like damn game you're giving me all these cool summons I wanna have access to all!

Lol I'll be honest I didn't really pay much attention to NPC ethnicity but for some regions like Barret's old town (mining village) it's really dusty and everyone is always outside in the sun so I guess most people looking brown there would make sense.

Finished it last night.

Fantastic game. The 3rd game is open in a number of ways it can possibly go as its starting to veer off in a new direction.
