Boston dynamics newest robot

Fark this is pretty cool . In another video it was removing its hand and changing it out for another task . The first Atlas was hydraulic , but this newest iteration is full electric . Not big on the ring camera head though lol

Looks like it would be capable of operating a lawnmower and garden edger, taking out bins, and potentially even loading and unloading laundry.

Wouldn’t trust it to drive a car or cook dinner but I’m sure we’ll get there eventually

Boston Dynamics is a meme company. All the NPCs get their little dinks hard when they see a robot programmed to do a flip or some dumb chit, meanwhile Boston Dynamics has traded hands multiple times since it's inception because everyone with inside knowledge finds out they have nothing to offer the commercial market.

Looks like they are owned by Hyundai. Hyundai's market cap is only 40 billion, that is pretty small, they could either blow up or get bought out. I should probably buy some of their stock, its only a matter of time before these robots combined with AI will be in huge demand.

The way they’re progressing with dexterity and identifying objects , put Ai in the mix and I could definitely see this not turning out well at some point

Pro tip-

They have been promising us robots since like the 1920's.

Almost 100 years and we get some factory thing that tries to pour drinks, spills them all over the place and we are supposed to act amazed.

Its simple, they dont exist. Maybe a couple prototypes but thats all we wil ever see. that or those weird dog goat looking things. No one actually wants one of those though, maybe the military or something like that. Again, its always prototypes with no applicable battlefield or real world use.

What these companies are are money laundering schemes with govt backing. There is a way better chance of investors going broke than having a robot come clean your house or factory.

Spot robots for years now have been used in heavy industrial applications, our Oil & Gas companies here in Alberta use them for site inspections and checking out areas that are hazardous to humans

If this type of thing ever does end up being for the mass consumer, it'll be because of the foundation laid by Boston Dynamics
