I'll be excited to see how the compact shoots. The grip feels just as natural. Trigger maybe slightly heavier, but maybe that's bc it's not broken in yet.

Is the trigger face rounded? That’s my only complaint with the full size shadow 2, that the rounded and smooth trigger face can get slippery, especially with how light the single action trigger

If you're not accustomed to a manual safety, you can decock into DA and you're good to go.Not a gun specialist but is this the model where you can change it from DA to SA? What is the the reasoning behind that?
Mirin though, seems like people love the Shadow 2 in general.

I'm going to install an extended safety so I can use it as a thumb ledge, but I carry in DA.

I almost bought one of them. The biggest sticking point for me was the no internal fire pin blocker. Maybe they changed that? Its controversial but for me personally, I want that blocker on an EDC gun. But it might make the gun less reliable right. Always a trade off.
Beautiful gun though, I still want one.

Never had a CZ crew…
I’ve always been a Glock dude, I have like 15 of them. Been a real hipster lately and have been packing a G37 in 45 GAP lol. Got it for under $300 as a police trade in, and bought a couple cases of ammo dirt cheap a few years back. It’s actually a great gun, even though it’s the bastard of the Glock lineup.

If you're carrying the gun in DA at half-cock, the hammer isn't under any mechanical tension. It also is frozen in place from being able to move forward, even if the trigger gets pulled. It has to travel backward before it can move forward again. The firing in is recessed pretty deeply in the slide, and there's no space at half-cock for a foreign object to reach it.
I think firing pin blocks are essential on striker fire guns. There's always a chance a piece of metal fails and the striker would release, since it rests under tension. Without any part under spring tension in a DA hammer fired pistol, it's almost impossible for something like that to happen, even if there was a defect in some part that failed.
Just my $.02 - but I definitely appreciate people who are at least concerned with the mechanics instead of just assuming every gun is safe.
