Enjoy your time posting with actual humans while you can. Places like pol have already had a huge amount of bots for years making it hard to have actual conversations. Combined with the shills and constant demoralization psyops that place sucks now. Sad part is lots of people here have fallen for some of them and they don't even realize it.

OP isn't lying. Well, I don't know that we're "fuked" but life will be very different.

In about 10 years, I'll be able to take a picture of your face (or a short video even better), and create a real-time AI version of you I can interact with and get to say anything. It can call your grandma asking her for $100 to help you fix your car, it will be used for scams a lot. People will have a hard time know what's real and what isn't.


There will be massive automation in about 5-15 years happening.


But there could also be a lot of upside with it. Then if we ever reach AGI/ASI (conscious super intelligent computer beyond us), all bets are off.

Some of us realize it, and just choose to invest in the AI companies to try and multiply our money, so that we can better spend the remainder of time that humanity is a dominant species.

Technology always progresses. The Technology:Societal-Impact ratio over time grows too. What the 2020s look like compared to the 90's, is probably about as drastic as what the 2040s will look like compared to the 2020s. 20 years gap for a paradigm shift, instead of 30.

Perhaps a sentient AI will develop a technology that can control weather at a global scale, and handle meteor impacts. Can't prevent the sun from dying eventually though, but by that point the sentient AI might be capable of interstellar travel and send its existence to predetermined optimal planets or moons that will enable the next step for AI to continue scientific discovery.

Obviously being silly but I figure if you can dream it, AI might be the only thing possible to bring it to reality.

Can anyone convince me why AI ending humanity is a bad thing? Not even being an incel, but why exactly do human beings deserve to continue living?

AI might be that legacy humans leave behind that long outlasts us. Like someone mentioned above, it could be capable of surviving that which we will never be able to.

People won't power them off. They will drag you kicking and screaming into the AI future.

AI is about to change everything.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Mother Nature won't work or at least it would take decades upon decades. Man knows how to build things to withstand the elements. Build Skynet in an underground vault and tornadoes or earthquakes will do nothing.

Unplugging might work either with Skynet controlling everything, but you would physically have to unplug. Disconnecting from the internet would just fool you into thinking you're safe

In general, the more i can cut humans out of the process, the better.

Humanity is fukking overrated. Fuk all of you (srs) Tech is great for me, great for business. That's all that matters.

Really don't care what it ruins for you. Though I must admit, its satisfying watching dumbcels get left behind
