intel is dying

they liscenced x86 to amd, with amd eventually having more competant engineers

their confidence and stagnation is destroying them

what hope do they have?

they cant just add 0.1ghz and continute to compete

The problem is AMD still can't produce reliable hardware (I work in and round computers all day). AMD consistently has QA issues resulting in bad drivers, broken hardware (7800X3Ds), poor support for older hardware/software (Hyperspeed in games, and funny enough this has been an issue for nearly 2 decades).

While I run all AMD CPU in my house, they are all 3000 and 5000 because those have been reliable. The 7000 series has not.

Additionally, if Intel would get their heads out of their asses and put more time into consumer products they could get that market share back. Some competition is good but Intel is doing what Nvidia is doing (focusing on commercial products).

I have been on the amd wagon since around 2018

I forget why I even went amd in the first place but I've had a 3700x and 5950x and both have been pretty solid.

I don't keep up too much since I'm not in the market but I kept hearing Intel runs really hot the last few gens, my pc room is already a sauna in the summer so meh
