Yeah because they aren't going to deal with another Sony fuk up like with Helldivers

If Sony is going to publish their games on steam and require a PSN login, then steam can't sell those games in countries where psn can't be registered or whatever it is. Their only choice is to simply block the sale in that country.

Even if it is some dumb little fine print steam probably doesn't want to have even 1 percent liability and be forced to deal with thousands of people trying to refund like they did with Helldivers.

Maybe they will come to some kind of agreement, I'm sure Sony doesn't like this either.

I don't get why Sony just won't let these countries have PSN. Steam has a great integration with other launchers such as Origin. Sony literally just need to give these countries access to PSN and they'll get a fuk ton more money.

whats weird about that list is some countries DO have PSN support, but still listed on that do not sale list

i would understand if they didn't but MAYBE just maybe they will have a different product sku (version of the game like japan usually has its own version)

Seeing social media posts now of pre-orders from those countries being auto-refunded. That was what weirded me out. Some of my friends from my country pre-ordered it, and I was sure it was also available for me to purchase not too long ago, but now it's not. I think Sony really shat themselves with what happened with Helldivers 2.

I'm on the list and I have the game available. I'm guessing this only applies to the multi-player (Legends) which is the part that requires PSN.

How did you make it available to you?

It's not available for purchase on my side anymore, and I've been seeing social media posts all over of it being auto-refunded and not being available for purchase on the countries listed above

Idk. The only thing available for me when I search it on Steam is Director's Cut. I think it's the same with FF7 Remake. The only version available on Steam is the one where Intergrade is already included.

Edit: Director's Cut is the name of the game bro. Director's cut = full version with the DLC. So you're good, you just won't have access to the online mode.

Yeah I'm screwed. I can buy Horizon Forbidden West on Steam but not pre-order Ghost.

Most of the crybabies were from US and other supported regions and just didn't want to link an account. And now that they made a massive stink about it, steam has changed things so people like me who would have been able to buy it 2 weeks ago from steam are now literally cut off/delisted. Fuk me. Their virtue signalling on my behalf made things worse for me.

Since you're in the USA you're fine tho. You can still buy the single player on steam without linking an account. Account is only needed for Legends mode.

Yeah it's the whiny crybabies fault. Everyone who bought a PS5 all around the world knew that if your country wasn't listed you can just select any region and it works. Breaking this rule has never been enforced. Literally everyone on earth who had Helldivers on Steam could have linked a PSN account. I could have linked my Japan, US or Europe account while actually living in a delisted region.

Be a man and admit you didn't care about the poor gamers in Zimbabwe, you cried because you simply didn't want to link an account.
