Karcher, Nilfisk, or this Swedish brand Ava? Those machines look hnnng af. Will mostly be used for car cleaning and blasting the patio to get the dirt off. Any recommendations?

I have electric for the same purposes and it's totally fine.

I don't need 10000 psi to blast the paint off my car. I just use it for cleaning my walkways/patio/cars/bikes/kayaks blah blah basically anything and everything. If I was a pro maybe I'd consider something gas/more powerful. For home use tho meh I couldn't imagine needing more blast power. Get the foam cannon attachments and car washing is ezpz


Electric is still fairly loud tho not sure how much quieter it will feel realistically

Bought a 3200 psi one with a turbo nozzle last summer since I needed to clean a lot of concrete and stucco. Got it from northern tool for like $350 srs.

If you need it for concrete or brick you absolutely need a gas powered one. Also don’t put regular gas. Find a station that sells non oxygenated gas (gas without ethanol mixed in).

If you're doing flat stuff like your patio, a surface cleaner is the only way that makes sense. Gotta have gas power for that.

OP did you get the one you can handle:

Electrics are OK, if you don't mind being tethered to extension cord. And a good extension cord at that. A 3000 psi pressure washer is going to pull close to 15 amps and that requres a cord that can support. Not cheap.


Gas is superior.

If you are just washing your deck and your car then electric is fine. If you are doing concrete/brick/etc then I'd probably want more power.

Gas, Ass or Grass - no one washes for free (or at least a ghey little electric one)

Tougher jobs such as concrete definitely require a gas powered machine. Do some research on pump brands because that's the more likely part to fail -- I prefer Honda engines with cat pumps.

With that said, my cheap sunjoe chinesium brand is light, portable and, with the correct nozzle, can take paint off a trailer. I'll probably use it to strip my deck in a couple weeks over the gas one for simplicity sake.

Have this one. It kicks ass for an electric. Have two gas ones also. Hardly ever use them anymore, unless I have a real heavy duty cleaning job to do.

that's what i have. the "best" cheap electric on amazon according to some youtube reviews.
i bought mine a few yrs ago.
cleans the winter grime off everything i need it to and mildew off the house and side of pool.
plus gutter cleaning with attachments.

this yr i bought a surface cleaner attachment i'll try out tonight for the deck.
just to make cleaning faster.

only concrete i have is city sidewalk and 10ft of walkway to front porch.
both old AF but still solid.
cleans that just fine.

if i had a concrete patio or driveway, maybe.
but you have to let it get filthy in the first place to need high power to clean it.
yearly cleaning, electric is fine.

and i hear you on the pump part for gas powered.
have owned a few gas powered ones cheap and not so cheap and the pumps crack like every other yr it seems.
