Best job that pays well without prior experience?

Hi guys,

I am looking for a new start. The job I am working as a mailman does not pay well enough. The outlook for it is also not that great.

I am currently 28, single, live at home still, no kids, 6'1 190 lbs with decent muscle mass, and am a college dropout looking for direction.

I have looked into the trades. Like being an electrician, as well as in the oil field, but I need other ideas.

It is a good job if you have over 20 years of seniority. Not good for anybody starting out.

I could imagine anything pretty hazardous if youre willing to do that.. maybe cross country vehicle transporation, working on skyscrapers, etc..

Youll sacrifice quality of life to make up for that lack of experience or background.

Interesting. I worked with a former postman in Colorado about 10 years ago. He quit USPS to be an oiler on heavy equipment.

Right now is a good time to get into a trade, nobody knows how to do sht anymore. I see kids getting hired on with no experience all the time at a decent rate to learn a valuable skill.

go army. 50k+ for starters, and if you live on the base you save every penny. Retire rich 20 yeas later with military pension.

Think. You will get paid to shoot guns and drive funny-looking vehicles. Comes with free gym membership. Also, you can workout while being on payroll.

can't beat that!

not easy getting into, you'd have to slave as auxiliary or casual employee with no benefits, prob for a year or two. And then to get regular job you'd have to move to some shifthole nobody wants to live, where beautiful lady being called a "tourist".

Military is almost definitely the best answer. Brb decent starting pay. Brb teach you soft skills. Brb can learn technical skills depending on job. Brb education opportunities. Brb separation programs. Brb VA benefits.

Edit: oh.. Canada lol. No clue how their military compares, benefits-wise. Probably fairly similar, if I had to guess.

I hear from people (I am talking Canada) who retire in early 40's to take normal job and they instantly miss their benefits and other perks they never paid attention to. Not just themselves, but their wives and kids, they want papa to go back for more benefits.

One fella I know, his is something like gunner (I have no idea what it means), his enumeration is over 100k. Not an officer, just another guy, wtf do they call them, corporal (cpl?) or some shiit like that. And they were all trying to get to Afghan at the time, because it was an instant 100k on top of everything, saved in the bank.
