Help with percentage of paycheck is take home?

Last week I grossed 1733.13 and took home 1309.79. How do I math that to see what percentage was taken out?

(1733.13-1309.79)/1733.13*100

too complicated for him

(big number - small number) divided by big number

that's the percentage you took home. subtract that from 1 if you want to see deductions
