Heard good things about Hoka and Cloud but they all look straight up mongolo!d

Purely for running, not casual wear.

Nike Pegasus is usually my favorite. Plus they have discounts all the time for $100.

For me it depends a lot on the color scheme available. Brooks is another one with narrower toe box so they look better than hokas

They are popular in the military crowd haha. I still prefer Nike styles overall but I like the smaller logo of brooks and their color schemes. Other brands you might look at are Altra, ASICS, and saucony but those are a little more expensive imo

For cushioning though for the price, I would say Hokas are best but like you said, they don’t look great

If its purely for running it really doesn't matter what they look like.

I did some scans of my feet at a running place and they told me OnCloud match my feet the best. Pretty much all I'd consider wearing for running now. (srs)

You should go to a running store and get professionally fitted for running shoes. That's how I found Brooks. They work great for my feet.

I just switched from lowa to hoka. Both are really great. Are you planning on road or trail running? Try to hoka speed goat 5 though. Unless you’re trail running then get the lowa amplux Your feet will thank you.

I just wear Brooks. No idea what the model is, I just try on a few pair and buy the one that feels/looks the best. Usually end up with a pair of Brooks

ASICS are GOAT
Saucony used to be good too, but it’s been a while since I’ve had a pair

Get some regular brooks or asics. they are made for running. Not over stupid looking or fancy but get the job done and last.
